Tech
Living inventory of the church's technology: network and AV equipment, where it is, and what it does.
Updated 2026-11-04. This grows as more gets installed — not everything the church owns is on here yet.
Network / WiFi
UniFi Cloud Gateway Ultra
RSM office (network room, back wing)
Router and controller for the whole network.
UniFi switch + 3 ceiling access points
Switch in the RSM office; access points in the attic above the auditorium, the lobby/office, and the classroom wing
3 networks: Staff, Guest (password, speed-limited, content filter), and AV (booth MacBook, iPad mixer, streaming — kept off guest traffic).
Access point Cat6 runs
Run inside the walls/attic, terminated in the attic at each access point
Didn't need to go outside or through the soffit — found room to route them all inside.
Internet / fiber
Comes into the RSM office
Ace Fiber is installing the line; waiting on their install date.
Video / AV
Booth (temporary)
Table in the back-right corner of the balcony
Booth computer sends front video out over SDI on coax (no delay to fight).
Blackmagic HDMI/SDI converters (+ spare)
One at the booth, one behind the stage, spare kept nearby
Convert the booth computer's HDMI to SDI for the coax run, then back to HDMI for the TVs.
Coax + Cat6e run: booth → front TVs
Runs inside the same wall the whole way, booth to the 2 front TVs
SDI video (coax) and network (Cat6e) run together. Doesn't go outside or depend on the soffit.
Coax run: booth → nursery
New run, also routed inside the walls/attic instead of outside
Lets the nursery stream the service. Has its own power pull.
2 front TVs: VIZIO 100" (VQD100M-0804)
Front wall, one each side of the cross/baptistry. Hung 11/6, $2,569 total.
Material no. 10299002249 on both. Stage left serial LBSFY2JC3401821 (confirmed). Stage right serial LBSFY2JC3401815.
65″ confidence monitor (planned)
Front of the balcony, facing the stage
Lets whoever's up front see slides/notes. Not bought yet.
Cabling standards
Cat6/Cat6e termination
Every jack and run in the building
T568A wiring order, used consistently on every connection so far. Pinout diagram below — use this if you need to make more cables or replace an end.
Routing convention
All new runs (WiFi APs, AV, nursery feed)
Route inside walls/attic space rather than outside or through the soffit, wherever there's room.
TIA/EIA T568A pinout (pin 1 → 8, left to right on the clip, contacts facing you)
